1485 citizen complaints were reported to the Police Oversight Agency in one year. Most of them were related to complaints of physical and psychological violence by the state police. But are they the same ones who accompany criminal elements and provide them with confidential information on police operations?
101 police officers were arrested within a year and not only for violence. 47 percent were arrested for corruption, 41 percent for favoring drug cultivation or its distribution and other corrupt acts.
16 officers of the General Directorate of the State Police for 2023 have been refused the issuance of a security certificate and four others have had this document removed.
