Albanian universities are facing a decline in the number of students. On the other hand, the branches that were declared priority are about to be closed, while the experts put the emphasis on immigration. Official figures show that from 2011 to 2022, more than half a million Albanians have left the country. What are the consequences of this immigration in the education system? Has the time come for a reform of higher education in Albania?
