Durrës in the silent battle between antiquity, history and the construction business

For decades, Durrës, one of the cities that carries a large part of our antiquity and heritage, lives a silent battle between antiquity, history and construction business. For almost 28 years in Durrës, not a single object, which was found during numerous excavations in the ancient city, has remained untouched. Numerous constructions have also touched the so-called red line, Zone "A", which should never be touched. To discipline this crap, there have been constant appeals from specialists, debates in the community and beyond. But recently a decision taken by the Council of Ministers on December 26 of last year seems to lead to an even bigger battle, as specialists and archaeologists now fear that this VKM really paves the way for construction in the archaeological area "A" of Durrës. And this is where the story just begins….
